an update

So it appears that I will be moving to Idaho this weekend.

Go ahead and laugh. I found out last night. Brandon's dad needed him to supervise a construction project in Blackfoot, so that's where we'll be for the next month and a half. We will live in his parent's house for the first couple of weeks (hooray) and after that, the house that his uncle is building should be ready, so we'll live in that (by ourselves).

Hey, it beats living in Vernal in a camper (our other option).

Are you sure? (about it beating out the camper, I mean)

I don't know. On one hand, there would be no showers, but more privacy. But it's till Vernal. In Idaho, there would be the chance of getting woken up at 7:00 AM by a little kid walking into the room and wanting to play with me. But as Brandon said, they'd only do it once.

Idaho?? Maybe you can start filming your own production of Napoleon Dynamite 2. Is Blackfoot anywhere near Preston?

In all seriousness, can you send me a postcard? :)

Correction: That is one of the funniest things Brandon said.

Blackfoot is about an hour away from Preston, I think. That town is by another little town called Weston. I laugh every time I see the exit for Preston/Weston.

I'm not sure that they make post cards for Idaho. If I find one, I'll send it to you.

That is awesome, you should go to Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Does anyone know where the Tetons got their name?

I've most often heard that French Canadian explorers saw the mountains and thought they looked like giant breasts. So, they named them accordingly.

Also--Lindsey, did you ever find my jacket and blouse?

Lindsey said...

That sounds like the French. Apparently they first had the names "les trois tetons." Now they're the Grand Tetons. The first one meant "the three breasts." Now they are "the large breasts." Even though they are in Wyoming, the most scenic views are from Idaho.

update-- i found my blouse. but for real, my jacket is not here.

are you there yet? i can't decide which would be more difficult: living with in-laws or spending all day alone in a trailer.

but it will look good on Brandon's resume that he worked as a construction manager....
