Just as I woke up the next morning, I got a call from Mom and she told me that everyone was at Brazos Bend state park. Of course, I can't miss out on any of the fun so we immediately got in the car and drove out. They were done with the trail by the time we got there, but we were able to have lunch with everyone and Mom and Dad did the trail again with us. Dad took care of Violet the entire time: And we saw 26 alligators, some of which were babies and only a few feet away from us. Also, Brandon and I discovered at least 3 in our pictures that we didn't see while we were there. He is becoming quite the wildlife photographer.
We also made it up our family tree. Brandon never has any problem climbing anything, but I was impressed that I got my sick butt up there. Of course Violet wasn't going to let us be up there without her, and she thought being in a tree was the coolest thing that had ever happened to her.
By the time we got home, I was starting to remember just how sick I had been the previous day and I was pretty worn out. But we toughed it out and managed to make it to our ward Christmas party where Violet met Santa. She wasn't too sure about him, but she did like running around with all the other kids. In fact, she was so excited that her pants fell off a couple of times. Luckily, no peeing on the floor.

Great pictures! It was so fun to walk around the lake again with Violet. She takes after her mom, for sure - a nature lover.
she is SOOOOO cute
Watching Violet walk over the the Family Tree and try to climb it to be with you and Brandon was priceless!!!!
Haha! I couldn't help but laugh out loud about all the crazy things Violet did!! Of all the books to throw at you... Are you my Mother? would have to be the most ironic! And peeing on the floor! Wow! That's hilarious!! Hope you're feeling better!
Ha.. That's fine, you can blog stalk me. I did stalk yours for a while, but I got really busy at some point before your baby, and stopped snooping it out. the last I remembered you dressed up to see nacho libre, which I thought was really awesome.
